Announcement ... Date and Price Change

Change in plans:  the date for the trip to the Northeastern Car Museum has been changed…..the new date is Saturday, February 11.  Freeman Bus did not have a 55 passenger bus available for the date originally requested.

Please RSVP to Cathie MacNeil NO LATER THAN Wednesday February 1.  We have to have a count turned into Freeman bus by the following day.  If we do not have 55 people from the club reserved, we will open the remaining spots to the public on a first come, first serve basis.  Payment will be due to either Rick Mentry or Cathie with checks made payable to Highway Legends, by Wednesday, February 8.  This is also the date for the next club meeting, so this is a perfect time to come out, hear what we have to say, tell us your thoughts and pay your fare.

This is a trip to the Northeastern Car Museum in Norwich.  The cost for the trip has also been lowered from $40 to $30 per person and this will include the bus ride to and from, entry to the museum and a catered meal of pizza and wings. If you are interested in  going, please contact Cathie MacNeil.  We will be leaving from Starbuck Ave at 8:00 am and returning that afternoon.  For more information on the museum, see their website,

The Two Nations, 2nd Annual 1000 Islands Classic Car Extravaganza

The first ever Highway Legends 1000 Islands Classic Car Extravaganza car, truck, and motorcycle event was a huge success.  Planning is well under way for the second annual event, the Two Nations 1000 Island Extravaganza which will be held on May 18, 19 and 20, 2012.  The charity chosen by Highway Legends Club members will be autism.

If you plan on attending and would like to register your car, you can do so on-line or forms are available that can be mailed in.  Likewise, if you are a vendor or crafter, those forms are also available.  Simply visit our Extravaganza 2012 page.

 Announcement

The Highway Legends Store has been disabled from the website.  A decision will soon be made as to when or whether this will be brought back.  In the meantime, anyone wishing to purchase any shirts, hats or other HL apparel should contact Cathy Mitchell at 315-523-1658.

Registration for the International Auto Showcase being held in Syracuse from March 23-25 is now open.  This is not a Highway Legends event but we are supporting it.  If you are interested in participating, please download and complete the the registration form and return to Rick Mentry or Cathie MacNeil, with your $25 registration fee, by Wednesday, January 11, which is also the date of the next club meeting!.  We will submit all entry forms as one packet to ensure that Highway Legends members will be parked together.  We will also have a booth set up at this event displaying information about our 2nd Annual Two Nations 1000 Islands Extravaganza, being held in Clayton in May.

On the form it indicates that you have to submit a photo along with your entry form, however, it is our understanding that because we are submitting the forms as a club, we do not need to submit photos.
